For professional use only. Our GelFX Nail Dehydrator 18ml is part of the ORLY Builder Tips system. Essential to prepping the nails before using ORLY's award winning Builder In A Bottle formula and creating beautiful, lightweight extensions with Builder Tips.
How To Use ORLY Builder Tips:
1. Prep Nails
Begin by gently roughing up the surface of the nails using the buffer side of the Buffer File Duo or ORLY black board. Afterward, cleanse the nails using a lint-free wipe and the ORLY 3-In-1 Cleanser.
2. Size and Prep Gel Tips
Size the gel tips to fit sidewall to sidewall on each nail. If a nail falls between sizes, opt for the larger size and gently file the sides for a precise fit. Eliminate debris by using a dry lint-free wipe.
3. Dehydrate and Prime
Apply ORLY Dehydrator across the entire nail plate and ensure it is completely dry before proceeding. Subsequently, apply Liquid Etch down the entire nail plate.
4. Apply Gel Tips
Start by applying a thin layer of Builder In A Bottle to the etched area of the gel tip to serve as a guide. Following that, add an extra small bead of Builder to the base of the gel tip. The amount of Builder applied should be sufficient to cover the nail plate without overflowing, adjusting based on nail size. Hold the gel tip at a 45-degree angle and align the base with the cuticle area on the nail plate. Gently tilt the tip downward to ensure the Builder covers the entire nail plate. For secure placement, perform a flash cure for 5-10 seconds. Repeat this process for all nails and subsequently cure for a full 30 seconds using the LED 900FX Lamp.
5. Blend and Shape
Delicately blend the base of the tip into the natural nail using the file side of the Buffer File Duo. While filing, maintain rounded, downward motions to prevent contact with the skin around the nail. Shape the tip as necessary and cleanse away any debris using a lint-free wipe along with the 3-In-1 Cleanser.
6. Final Steps
Conclude by preparing the surface of the gel tip through circular scrubbing motions with Liquid Etch. Progress to applying your chosen GELFX colour directly; a base coat is not required.
